Security, specifically

Read-only bank access. Private by design.

Plaid handles the bank login. Your credentials never touch our servers, and Accountability Quest can never move money.

What happens when you connect a bank.

Plaid is our bank-data aggregator. Plaid handles your financial institution’s login flow, so we never see or store your bank password. The connection is read-only: we can look, but we can never move money.

How your transaction data is protected.

We store the transaction data Money pacts need in your protected account database. Sensitive merchant labels and transaction descriptors are encrypted separately. Your Crew can never see any transaction detail — no amounts, merchants, accounts, or balances, ever.

What we store to deliver the service.

We keep the minimum app data needed to run your account and the features you choose: your profile, an encrypted Plaid access token, account metadata, notification and device registration data, and the Crew, alert, and preference records needed to deliver your chosen check-ins. Plaid access tokens are encrypted server-side and are never included in app exports.

Your data is not the business model.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use cross-site advertising trackers.

Disconnect or delete.

You can skip Plaid, disconnect it, or use local sample or manual flows where available. In Accountability Quest Settings, you can export your data or delete your stored app profile. Deleting your profile removes the stored account, transaction, Crew, alert, notification preference, and device registration data for that profile from the active backend store.
